The Conservatory of Movement is looking for an Administrative Assistant. This position is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented and takes pride in staying organized, interested in customer service, and supports the performing arts.


Responsibilities

  • Welcome students, parents, and visitors with a friendly, professional attitude.

  • Answer phone calls, emails, and text messages promptly.

  • Manage student registration and maintain accurate records.

  • Process tuition payments and assist with billing questions.

  • Schedule appointments and maintain studio calendars.

  • Order and organize office and studio supplies.

  • Assist with recitals, exams, and special events.

  • Prepare forms, reports, and other administrative documents.

  • Maintain organized digital and paper filing systems.

  • Communicate important studio information to families.

  • Support studio owners and instructors with day-to-day administrative needs.

  • Help keep the lobby and office clean, organized, and welcoming.


Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is dependable, punctual, and trustworthy. This job will require initiative and attention to detail. The Administrative Assistant will represent our studio with kindness, professionalism, and enthusiasm.


  • Previous administrative, customer service, or office experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Comfortable learning new computer software and technology.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.

  • Positive attitude, dependable, and self-motivated.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Experience in a dance studio or performing arts environment is a plus but not required.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly rate based on experience.

  • Flexible part-time schedule: approximately 6-12 hours per week. Schedule varies depending on season and special events.

  • Employee/family discounts on dance tuition (if applicable).
